IPCam ECHO PT designed with "multi-profile" video stream. It's more than a Dual CODEC, because the IP camera can generate multiple resolutions and multiple video compressions simultaneously.
For instance, in home environment, the network bandwidth is limited. User can command the IP camera to generate MJPEG, 320x240 resolution for live view. In the same time, another user can commandIP camera to generate MPEG4, 640x480 resolution for larger viewing window. This is so-called Multi-Profile.
One network camera can fit in various network environment.

Smart Bit rate control:
In various network bandwidth environment, user has 2 methods to get ideal video stream: Constant Bit Rate (CBR) or Variable Bit Rate (VBR). For CBR, it's a bitrate priority setting. The idea bit rate is between 256kbps and 4096kbps. User can set the desired bit rate to match the limitation of bandwidth. For VBR, it's a video quality priority setting. User should choose the quantization level to set the video quality rather than bit rate.
Different video profile can choose different VBR or CBR. The IP camera provides very flexible and ideal video stream management.
